Albert Kley

Albert Kley (born February 3, 1907, in Schelklingen-Gundershofen; died April 30, 2000, in Geislingen an der Steige) was a German high school teacher, painter, and educator who served as principal of the high school in Geislingen an der Steige for many years. He joined the Ulm Artists’ Guild in 1930, actively participating in the local art scene. During the National Socialist period, Kley was labeled a “degenerate” artist, which profoundly affected his artistic career at that time. Despite his responsibilities as a teacher and principal, Kley remained deeply connected to art and painting throughout his life, leaving a lasting artistic legacy in the Geislingen region.
