Alois Zabehlicky

Alois Zahbelicky (* 1883 in Vienna; † 1962 ibid.) was an Austrian painter who specialized in floral pieces and still lifes. He preferred to work with old-masterly layer painting, a technique known for its precise and detailed depictions. However, very little information has survived about his life, both as a person and in terms of his artistic career. Zahbelicky’s works are characterized by their high quality of craftsmanship, but remain largely anonymous, as he left hardly any traces in the art scene of his time.
