Frank Vervoort

Frank Vervoort (1930 Antwerp – 1983 Calgary) was a Belgian-Canadian landscape painter. In 1948, his family relocated to Canada, settling in Magrath, Alberta. From 1960, Vervoort studied at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, now known as the Alberta College of Art and Design. He furthered his education at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel, Mexico, as well as at the Nationaal Hoger Instituut and the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp. As a member of the Alberta Society of Artists, Vervoort worked as an artist in Calgary.
