Fritz DILLER

Fritz Diller (born January 19, 1875, in Gerthausen; died October 5, 1946, in Munich) was a German sculptor and porcelain artist. He specialized in creating animal figures in porcelain and bronze, including reliefs. His subjects included at least 21 breeds of dogs as well as deer, horses, ducks, bears, wild boars, and other animals. A sought-after artist, Diller worked primarily for well-known manufacturers such as Rosenthal, WMF, Metzler & Ortloff, and Nymphenburg. In 1938, he exhibited an animal sculpture at the Great German Art Exhibition. Some of Diller’s works are now housed in the Bröhan Museum in Berlin.
