Ida Dolanyi Bencur

Ida Dolányi Benczúr (born October 3, 1876, in Munich; died January 6, 1970, in Budapest) was a Hungarian painter and the daughter of the painter Benczúr Gyula. She was initially taught by her father, Benczúr Gyula. From 1907 to 1914, she studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, where her teachers included Révész Imre, Bosznay István, Tardos Krenner Viktor, and Réti István. She undertook study trips to Italy and Germany. Starting in 1914, she began to exhibit her works, focusing primarily on painting flower still lifes and interiors.

She was the daughter of the painter Benczúr Gyula and Karolina Max and the sister of the applied artist Benczúr Elza, the visual and applied artist Benczúr Olga, as well as the doctor Benczúr Gyula. Additionally, she was the niece of the architect Benczúr Béla and the painter Gabriel von Max. She was also the sister-in-law of the sculptor ifj. Vastagh György and the aunt of the sculptors Vastagh Éva and Vastagh László.
