Konrad Egersdörfer

Konrad Hermann Egersdörfer (January 21, 1868, Steinbühl – February 13, 1943, Munich-Feldmoching) was a German painter and illustrator. He was the son of Georg Andreas Egersdörfer and Johanna Kütt, and the brother of renowned painters Andreas Egersdörfer (1866–1946) and Heinrich Egersdörfer (1853–1915). On October 15, 1899, he married Johanna Walter.

Egersdörfer began his art studies on April 21, 1884, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, studying under Wilhelm von Diez. After his studies, he worked in Charlottenburg and later in Munich as a painter and illustrator. He exhibited frequently, including at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and the Munich Glass Palace (1907 and 1911). Egersdörfer was also a member of the Association of German Illustrators.
