Maria Kiraly

Maria Kiraly, an Austrian painter, was born in 1897 in Przemysl, Poland, and passed away in 1975 in Vienna. She was active in Vienna from the 1930s onward and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under Ferdinand Andri and Carl Fahringer. Kiraly specialized in animal paintings in oil and also created pyrography and ceramics. Her works were exhibited by the Dürerbund and at the Künstlerhaus in Vienna. She traveled for study purposes, particularly to Italy, where Sicily served as a significant source of inspiration.
