Otto ACKERMANN-PASEGG
Otto Georg Karl Ackermann, initially known as Ackermann-Pasing, was a German landscape painter, illustrator, and etcher (born 1882 in Plauen, died 1959 in Krailling). He began his training as an etching student with Carl Theodor Meyer in Basel and later studied at the Academy in Leipzig, where he collaborated with Andreas Curt Striegler and Dreßler. His artistic work was influenced by Heinrich von Zügel and Max Liebermann. In 1916, Ackermann worked as a drawing teacher in Schlitz, Hesse, and was also intermittently an illustrator for the Rudolf Rother Mountain Publishing House in Munich. He was a member of the German artists’ association “die Juryfreien” in Munich and exhibited in Düsseldorf, Berlin, and Fürstenfeldbruck. He was active in Munich-Pasing, Planegg, and Oberammergau.
