Randolf Wehn (1911–1987)

Randolf Wehn was a German painter known for his landscapes and cityscapes. Born in Munich in 1911, he received his artistic training under the guidance of the Munich landscape painter Professor Peter Kalmann and furthered his studies in Venice with Professor Beluzzi. From 1936 onwards, Wehn worked as a freelance artist in Munich.

His artistic style is characterized as late Impressionism, reflecting a keen eye for the beauty of nature. Wehn’s works predominantly feature subjects from Upper Bavaria, capturing the essence of its landscapes and villages, as well as city views, including scenes from Venice. Additionally, he was a member of the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts.

Randolf Wehn’s artwork is represented in various German ministries and town halls, attesting to his significant contribution to the artistic heritage of the region.
