Rudolf Wolf

Rudolf Robert Wolf was a German painter, graphic artist, caricaturist, and illustrator born in Leipzig in 1877 and passed away in Munich in 1940. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig under Paul Mohn before continuing his education in 1905 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where he learned from Wilhelm von Dietz. Throughout his career, he participated in exhibitions organized by the Munich Artists’ Association and displayed his works at the Glass Palace in Munich. Wolf contributed to the Meggendorfer Blätter and Fliegende Blätter, two prominent magazines of the time. He was a member of several artistic organizations, including the Munich Artists’ Association, the Association of German Illustrators, the Munich Artists’ Union “Der Bund,” and the Reich Association of Fine Artists of Germany. He remained active in Munich for most of his life.
