Toni BACH
Anton “Toni” Bach (January 23, 1909 – November 8, 1977) was a German painter.
Throughout his life, the artist engaged intensely in the study of artistic epochs and styles. Visits to museums and exhibitions inspired him to create his own artworks, which hint at a connection to notable figures such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Paul Cézanne. In his estate, there are numerous drawings, but primarily watercolors and paintings in oil or tempera, as well as mixed techniques. The artist Max Doerner and his seminal work, Techniken der Malerei (Techniques of Painting), had a significant impact on Bach’s oeuvre. Toni Bach’s thematic focus included portraits and landscapes.
