Vaclav Trefil
Prof. Václav Trefil was a Czech painter and illustrator, born on September 28, 1906, in Henclov near Přerov. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague from 1925 to 1931 under Professor Otakar Nejedlý. During his studies, he focused on still lifes and landscapes, drawing inspiration from his travels to France, Italy, Corsica, and Germany. Later, he shifted his attention to figurative and abstract compositions. Trefil passed away in Prague in 1981.
