Walther Matzdorff

Walther Matzdorff (b. 1901 in Erdmannsdorf, Saxony; d. 1951 in Annaberg) was a German painter and graphic artist. From 1921 to 1926, he studied painting and graphic arts at the Kunstgewerbeakademie Dresden.

During his studies, he embarked on a teaching career and worked from 1925 to 1945 as an instructor in drawing and crafts, starting in 1926 at the Staatsrealgymnasium Annaberg. After World War II, Matzdorff pursued a career as a freelance artist in Annaberg, where he remained until his death in 1951.
