Wilhelm Link
Wilhelm Link (born October 13, 1877, in Karlsruhe; died May 14, 1959, in Pforzheim) was a German painter, graphic artist, and sculptor. He studied from 1897 to 1903 at the Karlsruhe School of Arts and Crafts and at the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts under professors Victor Weishaupt and Wilhelm Trübner.
From 1913 to 1938, Link taught drawing and modeling at the Pforzheim School of Goldsmithing. His passion for painting horses earned him the nickname “Pferdles-Link” (roughly “Horse-Link”).
In 1926, Link exhibited his painting “Ten Majolicas” at the Stuttgart Secession exhibition. He was honored with solo exhibitions in Pforzheim in both 1957 and 1982.
