Viktor SCHIVERT
Victor Schivert (born October 8, 1863, in Iași; died June 20, 1929, in Munich) was a Romanian historical and nude painter who worked primarily in Munich.
The son of painter Albert Gustav Schievert (1826–1881), he began his artistic training at the Graz School of Art and, starting October 18, 1881, studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Alois Gabl and Otto Seitz. After completing his studies, he remained in Munich for the rest of his life.
Schivert specialized in historical and genre scenes as well as female nudes. He also created 130 book illustrations on the history of the Peasants’ War, establishing himself as a versatile artist within the Munich art scene.
