Robert Fink

Robert Fink (1878 in Pozsony – 1950 in Munich) was an important painter and graphic artist, known for his figurative compositions, atmospheric landscapes and portraits. He began his artistic training at the private painting school of S. Hollosy in Munich and continued it from 1915 at the Munich Art Academy under K. v. Marr. His studies also took him abroad, including to Sweden.
Fink presented his works mainly in the 1910s and 1920s at the Munich Glaspalast. He was involved in the Hagenbund for the first time as early as 1907 and became a member of this association from 1909 to 1912. He also belonged to the Reichsverband bildender Künstler Deutschlands. In an exhibition catalog of the Hagenbund from 1922 in Kaschau, he was listed as a “Rural Member”, although none of his works were exhibited.
Works by Robert Fink can be found in the Neue Pinakothek and the Städtische Galerie München in the Galerie im Lenbachhaus, among others.
