Wilhelm Raab

Wilhelm Raab, who lived from 1907 to 1989, established himself as a freelance artist in Frankfurt from 1945. From 1957 to 1972, he worked as a scientific draughtsman at the Museum of Prehistory and Early History in Frankfurt. His artistic oeuvre included cityscapes, floral still lifes and above all landscapes, which he created in watercolor, tempera and oil as well as drawings. Raab’s works can be classified in the tradition of European Realism and Impressionism.
