Wilhelm (Willy) Link, born on October 13, 1877 in Karlsruhe and died on May 14, 1959 in Pforzheim, was a versatile German artist who worked in the fields of painting, graphic art and sculpture.

His artistic training took place from 1897 to 1903 at the Kunstgewerbeschule Karlsruhe and the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe, where he studied under Victor Weishaupt and Wilhelm Trübner.

From 1913 to 1938, he worked as a teacher of drawing and modeling at the goldsmith school in Pforzheim. Known for his passion for depicting horses, he was nicknamed “Pferdles-Link”.

In 1926, Wilhelm Link took part in the exhibition of the Stuttgart Secession with his painting “Zehn Majoliken”. He also had solo exhibitions in Pforzheim over the course of his career, in 1957 and 1982.
