He was married to the costume designer Ter\u00e9z Nagyajtay.\n\nDi\u00f3sy received his artistic training at the School of Arts and Crafts in Budapest under Alad\u00e1r K\u00f6r\u00f6sf\u0151i-Kriesch and at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 1923, he spent a long time in Romania, where he created caricatures of Hungarian literary figures and public personalities. The collection was published in two volumes in 1923 under the title Ecce homo! with a foreword by Istv\u00e1n Ill\u00e9s Gy\u0151ri. The first volume, Kolozsv\u00e1r's Distorted Mirror, portrays personalities such as Art\u00far Balogh, K\u00e1roly K\u00f3s and S\u00e1ndor Rem\u00e9nyik. The second volume, Nagyv\u00e1rad's Distorted Mirror, contains caricatures of personalities such as Emil Adorj\u00e1n and Ir\u00e9n Gul\u00e1csy.\n\nHe enjoyed success as an illustrator in the Netherlands and France and was honored at the 1937 Paris World Exhibition for his frescoes in the restaurant of the Hungarian pavilion. In Budapest, Di\u00f3sy taught painting at the Hungarian College of Applied Arts (1941-47).
