Felix Eisengr\u00e4ber initially studied at the Leipzig Academy of Fine Arts under Ludwig Nieper and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Ludwig von Herterich and Paul Hoecker. After the death of Anton A\u017ebe, Eisengr\u00e4ber, together with Paul Weinhold, continued his school until 1913. He was a member of the Luitpold Group, a splinter group of the Munich Artists' Association, as well as the association \"Die Unabh\u00e4ngigen\" (The Independents).\n\nIn his early years, he designed book covers, primarily in the Art Nouveau style, for publishers such as S.
