She grew up in Baden-Baden and later studied at the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts, where she was a pupil of Hans Fredrik Gude and Friedrich Kallmorgen. H\u00fcbsch lived and worked in Karlsruhe, spending her summers on Reichenau Island on Lake Constance, where she created many of her atmospheric landscape paintings.
