Ernste und heitere Erz\u00e4hlungen (1988), and D\u00fct un dat in Hoch un Platt (1988). Many of these works, often written in Low German dialect, capture both the humorous and serious aspects of village life.\n\nIn addition to his writing, Seifer pursued painting as a self-taught artist.
